Gail Fail is a biology professor at a small college in California. She was born in Venezuela, and grew up in southeast Texas, then was transplanted to the west coast in the 1970's. She lives with her husband Leroy and a geriatric cat named after a mineral. Dr. Fail shares her garden with a variety of mammals (including grandchildren), insects, birds, and spiders, all of whom she finds interesting.
