Robert W. Leibold Jr. migrated to South Texas in the late 1970s where he began a journalism career and worked at daily and weekly newspapers through the mid '90s. While he has written sporadically over the years for his own amusement, this is his first essay submitted for publication outside the newspaper industry. He recently completed his master's degree in Communications from St. Mary's University where he toils as the communications coordinator for the School of Law.
