In a former life Morgan was a Russian linguist for military intelligence. Now she grows herbs, raises cats, and writes. Morgan also practices her public speaking skills on a weekly basis in Toastmasters and currently serves as vice president of education for the North Texas Toastmasters. She has published poetry and essays in the Poet's Review, the Army Times, the Stars and Stripes, and has poetry forthcoming in the Potomac Review as well as Red River Review.
