Joanna Pearson's work has appeared in The 2River View, storySouth, Yemassee, The Raleigh News & Observer, Mississippi Review, and is forthcoming in The Journal of Medical Humanities. She was a 2002 Finalist for the Ruth Lilly Fellowship sponsored by Poetry magazine, and recently named the 2005 William Carlos Williams Poetry Contest winner. Her work was selected by George Garrett for the forthcoming anthology Best New Poets 2005 published by Meridian and the University of Virginia.
