Vicki Sapp

Vicki Sapp came to Texas for a two-week visit in 1983, accidentally earned her Ph.D. in English at Rice University and has been living here ever since. She has taught at Rice and UT-Arlington and currently is Assistant Professor of English at Tarrant County College. Vicki has always wanted to be a serious writer, but everything comes out funny. She has published some good literary criticism and some bad poetry and is completing two booklength projects: Power Writing, a grammar and style manual; and Ivy Beleaguered, a novel. In her spare time Vicki enjoys hanging out with her 6'6" Native Texan son, Erol, and writing creative nonfiction pieces to perform for any group that will listen.
