Portent

incommoded
 reveries on the sill chilled
    whirl's eye
 shedded yanked-out cloud-fur
 fall's balding      yowling
 flakes are pallbearing leaves

she lurches at
 ears in air      moth-perks
 nape collared with claw-scallops
 eyes haloed       hollows
 talons mouseholds
    of calculation
 tree-leaped       gale-prowling
 pouncing forelegs windlashed
    a wingspread

cried "O-w-l"
 along immured ledges meows
    as if before Babel

feline eyes have seen       an angel
   towering without
